Multi Span Australia designed and constructed a new 1,010m² meat processing facility for Wilpak Meats on a restricted site. The new facility required the integration of carcass preparation, boning, processing, packaging and blast freezing. Other client specific items required for the facility included a service area which consisted of wash downs, boot wash and smock room with direct access to the boning room.
The independent building is fire separated from existing processing and cold room facility, whilst maintaining carcass and packaging movement links. Other features are -50°C blast freezers, -25°C freezer, 4°C Boning and processing rooms, underfloor insulation, heated doors and thresholds, staff lunch and change rooms and an office.
