The basis of this proposal is to create an urban Centre that with promote and fulfill a social development need and service to the local community that will support and sustain its living requirements.
The Tallebudgera Beach Climbing Wall development is situated behind the dunes at Tallebudgera Beach, Queensland . Adding to the Tallebudgera Active Recreation Centres existing facilities sited in an open and natural park land setting on Tallebudgera River and Tallebudgera beach front.
The 10m high by 15m wide simulated climbing surface has been replicated and installed from a real life cliff face in Bulgaria, transported and erected by a world leading climbing wall specialist.
The facility features a dual belay option harness system to cater for all ages and climbing assisted situations. With close proximity to the breaking surf the fixtures and finish have been appropriately specified with stainless steel fixtures, specialized paint finishes and Fibre Reinforced Plastic substituted flooring.
The structure also incorporates a soft fall rubberized safety flooring surface, a clear unimpeded open span structure for visibility, curved insulated composite roof panel system, equipment storeroom, rainwater harvesting system and parkland landscaping.
