The BAC Data Centre located at Export Park 3 at the Brisbane Airport is an architecturally significant building, comprising the most sophisticated technology to manage the increasing demands for data storage.
Multi Span Australia completed the design and construction of an artificial climbing wall and caving system, located at Currimundi on the Sunshine Coast. The climbing wall has both a natural rock face containing a 'crack' climbing route highlighted by LED lighting and a 3D face, which is equipped with 12 individual auto belayed climbs. The artificial caving system is the longest in the Southern Hemisphere, with a total length of 150m. It is a natural feel cave system with both lighting and cave sounds and designed over 2 levels to cater for multiple user groups. Extensive fire engineering was required for the caving facility to satisfy QFES requirements. Multi Span also worked extensively with the Bulgarian supplier and installation crew to meet clients installation timeline and requirements.
